ETERNITY:
Are you certain where you will spend it?

The Bible says you can be certain. "These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, in order that you may know that you have eternal life." (1 John 5:13) Consider this question: Suppose you were standing before God right now and He asked you, "Why should I let you into My Heaven?" What do you think you would say?

Following are four Biblical truths that explain how you can know that you have eternal life.

GOD LOVES YOU AND WANTS TO GIVE YOU ETERNAL LIFE.
God loves you. "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16)
However, we do not all experience God's love because...

SIN SEPARATES US FROM GOD'S GIFT OF ETERNAL LIFE.
Everyone has sinned. "For all have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God." (Romans 3:23) Everyone deserves God's judgment. "For the wages of sin is death." (Romans 6:23a) Our sin--even the small ones--separates us from God. We cannot solve our sin problem, but...

GOD HAS DONE FOR US WHAT WE COULD NOT DO FOR OURSELVES.
Jesus died for our sins. "But God demonstrates His own love towards us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8) Jesus is the only way to God. Jesus said, "I am the way and the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father but through Me." (John 14:6)
To receive Eternal Life...

WE MUST PERSONALLY RECEIVE JESUS CHRIST AS SAVIOR AND LORD.
It is an individual decision. "But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, that is to those who believe in His name." (John 1:12)
To receive Jesus, you must...

1. REPENT OF YOUR SIN.
To "repent" means to change your mind. It suggests turning away from sin and turning to God through Jesus Christ. "Repent therefore and return that your sins may be wiped away." (Acts 3:19)

2. PLACE YOUR FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST.
"Faith" is trusting in Jesus to forgive your sins because of His death on the cross. "For by grace you have been saved through faith." (Ephesians 2:8)

3. COMMIT TO JESUS AS YOUR LORD.
Give Jesus control of your life. "That if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved." (Romans 10:9-10,13)

ARE YOU WILLING TO REPENT OF YOUR SIN...
PLACE YOUR FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST...
AND COMMIT YOUR LIFE TO HIM?

You can place your faith in Jesus right now by praying this prayer:

Lord Jesus, I need you. I admit that I am a sinner. Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins. I believe that God raised You from the dead so that I might have the promise of eternal life. Thank you for forgiving my sins and giving me eternal life. Take control of my life and make me the kind of person you want me to be. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.
